Young Guns

Young Guns was a group exhibition held at the Institute of Contemporary Indian Art (ICIA), Mumbai, in 2007. Rahul Chaudhury participated in the exhibition during an important period in the development of his painting practice. The exhibition formed part of ICIA’s programme of presenting modern and contemporary Indian art in Mumbai. ICIA was established as an initiative of The Arts Trust and developed its exhibition space in Mumbai’s Kala Ghoda art district. Rahul Chaudhury’s participation in Young Guns is documented in later artist and auction records, placing the exhibition within his professional exhibition history in Mumbai. The exhibition is significant in Chaudhury’s chronology because it coincided with the period in which works from his Burning Desire investigations were developing and subsequently entered the Mumbai art market and AstaGuru auctions.
